Blood Orange

Blood orange extract is derived from blood oranges, a variety of orange with crimson, blood-coloured flesh. This unique colour is due to the presence of anthocyanins, a family of antioxidant pigments common in many flowers and fruits, but rare in citrus fruits. Blood oranges have a unique flavour profile compared to other oranges, with a distinctly rich citrus taste that has hints of raspberry.
